What is Jun-Tec Business Internet?
Jun-Tec Business Internet is a managed connectivity solution designed for Australian businesses that cannot afford to rely on a single internet connection. It combines primary NBN or fibre, a 4G/5G failover connection, and a managed FortiGate router into one supported service.
What is managed business internet?
Managed business internet means Jun-Tec takes responsibility for the entire solution. We configure the hardware, monitor both the primary and backup connections, manage the automatic failover, and provide ongoing support — rather than leaving your business to coordinate multiple carriers.
What happens if the primary internet connection goes down?
The managed FortiGate router continuously monitors the primary connection. If it becomes unavailable, the router automatically redirects your business traffic through the Optus Business 4G/5G backup connection, helping essential services remain connected.
What is included from $280/month?
The monthly fee includes the primary internet connection, the Optus Business 4G/5G failover service with static IP, the managed FortiGate router, automatic failover configuration, and ongoing monitoring, management, and support by Jun-Tec.
Does the plan include the primary internet connection?
Yes, the primary connection — typically Aussie Broadband Enterprise NBN or an appropriate business fibre service — is included in the managed solution.
Does the failover connection have a static IP?
Yes, the Optus Business 4G/5G failover connection includes a static IP address to support critical business applications and remote access during an outage.
Does Jun-Tec manage the FortiGate router?
Yes, Jun-Tec supplies, configures, and fully manages the FortiGate router as part of the ongoing service.
Can it support VoIP and cloud phone systems?
Yes, the solution is designed to support VoIP, Microsoft Teams and other cloud-based phone systems, helping communications remain available if the primary connection fails.
Can I keep my existing internet provider?
Jun-Tec Business Internet is designed as a complete, single-provider solution to ensure accountability and seamless failover. We replace your existing services with our managed primary and backup connections.
Is Jun-Tec Business Internet available throughout Australia?
Yes, Jun-Tec supports businesses across Australia. We assess availability, primary connection options, and mobile coverage for each specific business location before installation.
How much does installation cost?
The standard setup fee is $980 ex GST, which includes configuration, deployment, and failover setup.
Is Jun-Tec Business Internet month-to-month?
Yes. Standard Jun-Tec Business Internet services are provided on a month-to-month managed service arrangement, with a one-time setup fee of $980 ex GST. Some specialised fibre services or carrier-specific connections may have their own minimum terms. If a carrier commitment applies to your location or selected connection, Jun-Tec will explain it clearly before you proceed.
Will every application continue without interruption during failover?
Automatic failover is designed to reduce downtime, but some active sessions, calls, VPNs or applications may need to reconnect when traffic changes between connections. Jun-Tec assesses critical applications and configures the solution around the way your business operates.
